Job Description

Summary:

Mailbox Merchants® is one of the West’s largest independently-owned direct mail advertising companies. Our “Shared Mail” programs are well established in 35 markets across six western states and we are currently looking for a CSR, Support Specialist to serve as a liaison between clients, outside sales representatives and Graphic Designers, as well as providing support to management and other staff members.

POSITION PURPOSE

The CSR, Support Specialist is responsible for administrative and key account support, order entry, production coordination and sales support. This position serves as a liaison between clients, outside sales representatives and Graphic Designers, as well as providing support to management and other staff members.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Processes orders and samples
Enters house account orders
Answers incoming sales inquiry calls
Maintains office filing systems
Processes sales rep requests
Prepares contracts for house accounts
Responds to e-mail requests from clients/prospects/sales reps
Mails/ships copy samples to clients
Sends media kits (physical and electronic) to sales prospects
Performs general office housekeeping (recycling/file maintenance)
Creates ad layouts for house account orders
Maintains customer data base (including entering new account information)

Compensation: Non-exempt (hourly) wage of $15.00 – $17.00 per hour depending upon experience and qualifications

Basic Qualifications

3+ years related experience and training in customer service, advertising, and/or direct mail is strongly desired, or a combination of education and experience is required
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and strong computer skills is required
Ability to present information, ask questions and respond to questions from supervisors and coworkers throughout all levels of the organization
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to reconcile orders and/or perform basic accounting functions
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Must be able to read and write English at a high school education level
Strong administrative, organizational and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail skills

Other Duties

Other duties as assigned including supporting the Front Desk by answering phones and greeting visitors
Day shift, with some overtime needed to support production deadlines and unanticipated events

Work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment during normal business hours
