Signature Graphics is a locally-owned, full-service heatset and coldset commercial printer with direct mail advertising and graphic design businesses located in Portland, Oregon and Spokane, Washington with a total of approximately 180 employees. Since opening in 1984, Signature has become one of the largest printers in the Pacific Northwest, and we are currently looking for a Finishing Manager to supervise and coordinate the activities of the Finishing Department at our Spokane plant.


The Finishing Manager directly supervises and coordinates the activities of the Finishing Department and its employees. This position collaborates with managers throughout the organization to meet production requirements and also manages the Company facilities.


• Manages Finishing Department employees (typically about 5)
• Ensures timely delivery of all commercial jobs, including store copies
• Ensures all supplies are in stock for Finishing and Mail Departments
• Processes and runs Mail jobs and delivers to Post Office in a timely manner
• Ensures all equipment is maintained and running efficiently including company vehicles
• Keeps complete records of weekly, monthly, and yearly maintenance
• Ensures all Finishing and Mail jobs are started and completed correctly
• Provides customer service when needed to answer delivery, mail, and/or Finishing questions
• Serves as the Safety Chair and conducts monthly Safety Meetings

Compensation: Salaried (exempt) wage

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience operating machines/equipment in a manufacturing environment, preferably mailing, bindery and/or inserting equipment in the printing industry
• 5+ years’ managing employees
• Must possess mechanical aptitude
• Works as a team within the department and company
• Current, state-issued driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Qualified to drive motor vehicles
• Able to read small print, speak and hear clearly
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and/or crawl while on the job
• Must be able to reach, lift, push, pull or carry objects with hands and arms
• Must have dexterity of hands and fingers and good hand/eye coordination
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance and maneuver in cramped areas
• Able to repeat the same motions, to hold steady in one position and make quick and precise movements
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
• Basic proficiency in English
